Yes it makes sense and kind of echos my feeling, I in the end stopped looking at notifications of unfollows I could find no logic to why often

Yeah, it really defies logic much of the time, in my opinion. Especially when someone unfollows that you're supporting. Trying to figure that one out is a real conundrum.
