India's 72nd Republic Day - 26 January
Today India is celebrating 72nd Republic Day. While the capital city of India, hosted the mega Republic day parade, showcasing the ultimate supremacy of military strength, somewhere in the remote area of India, people were simply enjoying the day off with mutual celebration.
Celebration of different kind, its not about supermacy but purely feeling of love to the nation and respect to the national flag. This is the part of India, where still kids salute the national flag upon hosting.
A place where ritual of burning incense stick is still followed. No matter what people celebrated it like a festival. They worship the flag first before it get hosted by the local head.
Flag hosting is followed by distribution of sweets. Not few sweets but a number of plates were arranged to get the distribution done. So that every people get a sweet taste of Republic India.
The celebration of the ocassion is incomplete without the distribution. People be it ladies, kids or old, they all gather outside the small office building, to get their own plate of sweets and enjoy the Republic Day.
There were, 440 plates in total which were distributed among the village people. One by one and one after the another. All of them consumed, and at last we even fell short which get managed later.
Don't get worried looking at the crowd. There is no scare of pabdemic. As most of these people hardly went out to cities. They live in their own land doing farming and other small business. So enjoying among them doesn't make you worry.
This is how, common Indians make use of the day and celebrate in their own way, rather than all the glamor that was showcasing in the capital it of Delhi.
Hope you all enjoyed the little glimpse of Republic Day celebration from Rural India.
