I enjoyed reading this @nextgen622. These are very nice pictures, capturing wonderful memories, I'm sure. At the age of your children ...

"So everytime I see my kids doing something that reminds me of myself or my wife, it just makes me smile."

... it brought back some fond memories of our own.

All I can say is enjoy it while you can! The day comes when it becomes painfully clear how these little gifts of life don't miss anything! Including what you would rather they have missed ... They are like little sponges, soaking up all their mother and father have to offer them about the "way it is supposed to be done." They are then like mirrors reflecting back to us all that we have taught them. In one way or another ...

My beloved and I reflect back on these "do as I say, not as I do" moments, now that we are "empty nesters." And recall how humbling those memories still are. Which, as far as what is truly of value in life, is invaluable in helping us see ourselves as our Heavenly Father sees us. Through which, He lovingly (because of who He is, not because of who we are) convicts us of our irreplaceable need for Him.

P.S. Interesting "sidebar" is how this comment is unviewable (at least currently) on your post on that other blockchain ...

Thanks for the advice brother. I’m glad you enjoyed the post. We try our best, although we often fail. It’s comforting to know that we have a gracious Lord.

So true. Thanks for these encouraging words.
