Deranged Photography Contest :This Week's Theme is Solo
My entry to Deranged Photography Contest. It’s a great weekly photography contest, organized by @derangedvisions. The contest is now on HIVE.
Check Here for more info on the contest. This week’s theme is Solo.
Yesterday was Easter Sunday like no other Easter I have experienced. Usually it is a day Hubby and I drive the 5 hours to my sister in Halifax, Nova Scotia to celebrate Easter and stay a couple days.
With self-isolation, instead of a long car ride, we went for about a twenty minute drive down by St. Mary’s Bay. I wanted to see if the Great Blue Heron had come back from the south as he likes to fish there.
There was no Blue Heron at the Bay but I did see Canada Geese and this solo seagull flying overhead.
This is the solo photo I will submit for the contest. Amateur tier.
Not a cloud in the blue sky.
Same seagull tilting his wings as he checks for a landing.
Some of the geese at the Bay.
Geese gathering on Easter Sunday to enjoy the beautiful cloudless day. I guess they haven’t heard the word on physical distancing during this virus pandemic :).
Location:Prince Edward Island, Canada
Camera: Canon EOS Rebel T6

Much appreciated @dsc-r2cornell. Thanks for the support.
Great photos, I just love when the sky is so blue and catch a bird.
Lovely!
Stay well!
Thanks @farm-mom! Easter Sunday was a beautiful day here in Eastern Canada.
Stay safe and be well.
Captures 'solo' really well!
Thanks @riverflows! Stay safe and well through this world-wide pandemic.
Such wonderful shots. Thanks for sharing Joanne
Thanks Rob! I'm happy you liked them.
Hope you had a nice Easter and you and the family staying safe and well.
The Canadian Geese have it easy with all the new grass growing.
Yes there seems to be quite a few around. There's a bird sanctuary not far from me where they gather quite often on the lake.
All of Illinois seems to be a sanctuary for Canadian Geese all year long lol.
Howdy redheadpei! Really nice shots, I haven't even tried but it seems like it would be very difficult to get shots of them while they're flying!
Thanks Cowboy! I'm glad you like them. You need a scope on the camera to get a shot of them if they are quite far up.
lol..I guess I'd just take lots of shots and hope some of them came out!
Lovely shots! Love the one with the seagull!
Good mornin’ Cowboy! It such a great time of the year when the wildflowers start popping up.
