MY ADVISE AND TIPS FOR NEWBIES ON HIVE

When I joined steemit and now HIVE. I met quite some discouragements that I almost quit. The person that introduced to steemit/HIVE was also new that he had little or no help to offer me.

Few other ones I met were only occupied with looking for whales that can give them huge upvotes.

For me getting a post to people to read and get blessed was my major concern. This was why I did not know late 2017 that the price of steem and SBD went high and guys sold theirs and made tons of money. Well that was then.

My advice to newbies on street will be predicated on the following points:

• Come with creative mind and be original.

• Don't fix your mind on money yet.

• Do not solicite for upvotes

• Interact with other steemians, read and comment on their posts.

• Always enagage in contests as much as you can.

One of the first temptations that confronts a newbie is to do copy and paste. Copying other peoples's works is not encouraged on steemit. This has it own consequences.

Another problem that confronts a newbie is the cost of internet Data. As a result of this he or she may wish to start making money even from his first post to be able to stay afloat. This is not always so. Be patient.

A renoun musician "Bongos Ikwue" in one of his music tracts says, "Nothing good comes easy".

Be consistent and do not beg for upvotes. Instead your good and original contents will attract upvotes.

Make yourself known to other hiveans by reading and commenting on their posts. Life is about give and take. By the time you acquent yourself with 10 hiveans , 3 of them may visit your post with upvotes.

Always look out for contests on the platform. It is one of the sure ways of getting noticed and earn more money depending on your creativity.

Finally, slow and steady wins the race.
