Sprung from some kinda sense of boredom mixed with a subtle pinch of curiosity, today it occurred to me to check my followers within the steem blockchain. Well, more specifically my Dead Followers. ...mind you?

Once upon a time, when we had at least a trio of steem dApps to check diligently, easy and quickly these type of statistics without much effort.
Especially if you were trying to clean up and overhaulin' a bit tha home.

Apart the aforementioned most famous Dead Followers website. Which if you bothered to click on the previous image, you will notice they are now even more defunct than our dead followers.

Jointly with them, there was also a couple of steem dApps and other little websites which simultaneously coexisted with them that would help us to carry out that arduous and painful disinfection task sometimes.

One of them was Spectacles. Which in my opinion was and has been the best and most complete of all in terms of the amount of useful tools that it provided for this specific type of smelly corpses cleaning chores. And one with plenty extra utils to deal with everything related to the maintenance and purification of our shacks of undesirable bugs and deceased followers.

Then, also existed a website whose url was https://steem.agency where you could also find sort of a similar tool for the same bothersome errands.

¿What I've found out?

Yup! I've found out I was running over a pile of additional corpses. While I was immersed in a futile attempt to try to get rid quickly and more easily of a good bunch of smelly corpses. Since they looks as dead as the others.

So, I had no choice but to check each one of my current 1,179 followers, one by one, through my steemit profile to perform the patently necessary and basically annoying impending debugging. Let's see how many survive.

So far, I've detected a large list of usernames which stinks like rotten bots.

Yeah! all of them must be Alt accounts in one way or another.

Since most of these usernames sounds like pure 'auto' lurkers and stalkers. Possibly 'curation accounts' always attentive & presto to upvote our posts... erm... ahem... Yeah right!! };)

Because if you stare at their usernames twice. You have to conclude no one in their sane judgment would choose such lame user identities for life.

¡Alright! now excuse me. I still have work to do. So far I've barely been able to identify the corpses in the morgue. I still have to classify the rest of their detritus remains to pinpoint with certainty how many smell like bones and how many of them stink like metals.

Meanwhile, I still have the hopes that although many of them seem to be already buried since long time ago and barely showing their crack heads on the surface. At least, one or another of them are still able to move their hands and feet underground to show some signals of life to stay in my list.
