Radio silence

Wow, I've been quiet for a couple of days now, haven't I?

Playfulfoodie

It doesn't feel that way, honestly. Writing here takes a lot out of me and I've just been having a big discussion in my comments section. Fighting the good fight!

Anyway, I have been having a slow week. Again. Well, some frustration too. I am still burned out on all of the arrangements I had to do for this house and I somehow feel very reluctant to do any more. We have a leak though. Had it for a little while, but it doesn't leak often. Last monday, we had a shitload of rain, which restarted the leak and it showed us a new leak aswell.

As much as I loved those skylight windows when we bought this house... They are a bit of a pain now!

So, with both windows now leaking, I had to get over myself and do some 'arranging'. Wrote to a small business in the area, but later remembered they full on ignored my message last year. Sooo next day I wrote to a business a little further away. They are in their last week before the summer vacation, but they'll try to send someone before that.

Just waiting for that call...

I've got my new job appointment thingy today, so I really shouldn't be active here this morning, but hey, I'm already half-way into this thing! Talking about salary, work days, starting date and such. I know what I'm aiming for, so it should all work out relatively easy.

Playfulfoodie gaming Animallica

I've been bingewatching The Resident this week. Really can't be bothered to spent too much time on the PC right now. I tried playing Animallica again, the first-person camera game that made me nauseous. It didn't last week, but it did yesterday. I guess it's because I was still very tired from the night without any sleep because of the heavy rains.

Aside from the leaks, our toilet made creepy noises during those rains aswell. It didn't flow over, but I get really, really stressed out about crap like this. In one of my previous homes, the toilet DID flow over and I ended up having to redo my entire downstairs floor and throw away a lot of stuff. Sewage water is not a good thing to end up inside of your floor and furniture... So now, with heavy rains, I can't help but feel stressed again.

Oh, I haven't been playing a lot of the New World beta, because I don't want to ruin it for the actual release. It was nice to jump back in and re-learn a couple of things, but now, I'll just feel sad about losing all of my progress. So, waiting for the actual release!

Speaking of releases, Guild Wars 2 will have a new expansion in febuari! That'll be a fun thing to check out. New World will be out about half a year by then, so I'm sure I'll feel okay with switching or spending time on two games around that time.

Well, so far for my super messy post to break the radio silence. Hope you're doing well!

I hadn't heard of Animallica -- just looked it up on the steam store and it looks pretty interesting, annndddd quickly wishlisted it. 🙂

I'm the same with the New World beta; I played it enough to see that I like it and will enjoy it, and now I shall wait for the release. I don't really see the point in playing it like a proper game when I know everything's going to be deleted.

May your toilet not overflow!! 😬 That happened to a friend of mine a few years ago... she was only just registered as an at-home daycare provider and had finalised everything ready for her first kids. Then it flooded. Sewage seeped through the house. Nearly everything had to be repaired and replaced. I can't even imagine. 😞

I played Animallica quite a while ago in alpha form and have enjoyed it for many hours. They're moving forward into beta now, so I figured I'd check it out again. Had to start from scratch though, boo, but that was to be expected. I'll try to play more of it on days where I'm not so tired and hopefully won't get nauseous ;-)
You can play it with enemies in-game, but you can also go for a completely peaceful experience and just explore, gather and build.

Oh gosh, I feel for your friend. What a horrible timing aswell!
