Countries in lockdown, but professional football continues? Economic inequality at work?
France in lockdown
As of tomorrow France goes once again in lockdown. Normal people need to stay at home, can only leave for work, if they work at an essential job. Or for a walk, but not longer than an hour. Non-essential shops close, only schools stay open.
But one sector is spared, professional football! The games go on, players can travel around the country, stay in fancy hotels, and live their luxury life as they wish. Correct me if I am wrong, but that just doesn't seem fair to average Joe to me! How can the people accept that kind of legislation? That is just asking for rioting, if you ask me.
Don't get me wrong, I love football, I love sports in general, but that is just plain wrong to me!
The same is going to happen in Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands. Politicians are just creating the environment for civil war...
Sincerely,

it's because they earn little money and have to work overtime. ;-D
Unfortunately, you are right... Protest and riots are already happening... I'm living in Spain and I had no idea that there were riots in Barcelona yesterday for freedom and against lockdowns... It was only on Twitter in short videos that people have posted... Nothing on mainstream media...
It's happening, but they are hiding it from the people...
True, same in Italy
Have you heard the expression "bread and circus"? is just this.
