Supreme combat in the air!

Here is a loud strike attack for territory from a young Egyptian goose this morning.

The noise woke us up very early, as I worked late last night, but I knew that the territorial fight of the last 3 days was not over yet.
So, out in the garden I took up my lookout spot and was richly rewarded with some great shots!
Come have a look!

Loudly the young attacker came in over the trees.

He came in at speed kamikaze style, making his intentions clear for all to see!

Our Harry was prepared and waiting for him!

IMG_2679 2.JPG

In an instant Harry ducked his attack and at the same time flipped himself over backwards!

At the same time Harry flipped himself upright in a fluid movement and set off at high speed after the attacker.
Oh man, I should have had my video on the zoom, but this is not over and next time I will have my video on to show you how fast and experienced old Harry is!

Harry returned later and you can see here that he is not a goose to be trifled with.
A real old champion!

It was all over in seconds and now I can understand why so many geese have damaged wings and broken legs. Because if that young goose had to strike Harry at full speed, Harry would have had no chance.

We can look forward to many more fights, as I saw this Egyptian tribe also coming in this morning.
Breeding season is here and they are all going to be looking for homes.
The leaders will go to their normal places, but the adult young ones will all have to fight for places where they can nest.

A backflip, followed by an instantaneous slipover and a take off at speed at the same time is not something that one can see every day. Maybe I can convince Harry to enter the Egyptian Goose Olympics, but I know that he will say that he is too old hahaha.
I was really honored to see this!

And That's All Folks!

Note: All photos are my own, as usual unedited and only cropped for uploading purposes.
Camera used; Canon Powershot SX60HS on Auto and Ultra Zoom.

We hope that you have enjoyed the photos and thank you for visiting a post by @papilloncharity

Thank you Sir Steve.
My problem is that in my last 2 posts, the second photo cannot load.
I have tried a few times to edit and to reload and I have even tried to put different photos in, but the second photo just won't open???

This has to be a problem on the technical side. Do You know who I can ask to take a look?

PeakD. Also tried in Hive-Blog.
Edited in OCD and still the second picture is missing.
It has a little black block with a white cross in the block.
That means that there is a photo, but its not open.

I saw just now on another post that some others are also struggling with their photos. Maybe let's wait to see if it will be sorted out!

Thank you my friend and we are indeed being kept on our toes.
Yes, our only worry is that we cannot get to the people that we support.
Hunger is very bad over here.
