The Haunted Dolls

“We might bring demons home, Carl.”

“What?” Carl couldn’t make sense of Michelle’s comment as it came out of nowhere, more so, that demons usually wouldn’t worry her.

“I can sense entities attached to those dolls,” Michelle being a psychic, could sense entities but what she couldn’t sense was if they were demons or just some poor souls.

“They can’t leave the dolls, anyway,” Carl brushed away the concern as he would normally do, but in this case, Michelle was a bit disturbed than concerned.

The husband and wife duo were the YouTube ghost hunting sensations and were super-duper famous because of one of them, Michelle, in this case, being a psychic. What’s so great about psychics in ghost hunting? For one, they can predict the nature of the place before the start where a regular group would be going in blind and just reacting. Second, they come with conclusive evidence, which YouTubers love to watch, and which normal groups speculate and leave it to anyone’s guess.

“They haven’t left so far,” Michelle interjected, “that doesn’t mean that it wouldn’t happen in future.”

It was ironic that Carl wasn’t trusting the only person he should in the matter, while scores of YouTube watchers numbering multiple millions believed everything that Michelle said without knowing her.

“How about making a video?”

Michell didn’t follow Carl’s video reference, especially when there was something important being discussed,” video about what?”

“About you warning me against the haunted dolls,” Carl said much to Michelle’s irritation, “viewers would be excited to get your opinion on this haunted stuff.”

“Carl, I am serious about these things,” Michelle shot back, “it is about Sandra too.”

“Sandra is safe, Mich.”

“I am the psychic,” Michelle shot back.

“That’s exactly the reason I want your opinion aired.”

Michelle thought there was no point arguing, and if it would help others taking precaution, then it was worth it.

“Hello Fam, let’s look at my haunted dolls today,” Carl started his customary introduction.

Carl panned the camera at his doll collections and then at Michelle, “let’s hear Michelle’s opinion on these dolls.”

“I would recommend against haunted collections because it could get dangerous.”

“What could go wrong, Michelle?” Carl asked on behalf of the viewers.

“For one, these dolls can house demons instead of souls, and they can wreak havoc in their immediate surrounding, including causing harm or injury to occupants of the house. Besides, you can’t destroy such demon-infested dolls, and if you try, you will only set them free.”

“Is it possible to figure out a demon-infested doll?”

“Not many known differences around, but an important one is the ability of the demon-infested dolls to move from one place to another.”

“Where’s the duck?”

“What duck?”

“The one I picked from the Tennessee haunting,” Carl went searching for the duck with Michelle in tow as the camera kept rolling.

“Found it,” Michelle’s blood froze as the duck lay in Sandra’s room’s washbasin.
