OCD DAILY - Issue #517
Welcome to the 517th issue of @OCD Daily!
Issue #517 highlights content from six(6)
Steem Content Creators! The OCD team continues its search throughout Steem to find you the undervalued gems, as provided by relatively new users.
Today our curators found six(6)
new pieces of original content! We strive to find works that are created by newer Steem users, that may not have the audience with which to share their quality content. @OCD strives to help provide that audience and intends to showcase Steem users who put in the extra effort to create creative, original content.
The @OCD nomination process
A curator will FIND a piece of work (typically from newer users). Within 24 hours that piece has been submitted from the curator to the @OCD team, curator votes are tallied, and the pieces with the most votes are included in the compilation.
We encourage you to visit these blogs and show these great Steemians your support and encouragement.
If you enjoyed their work, give them a Follow or maybe even say Hello!
All of the content chosen by our curators is undervalued, but there is always one piece that rises to the top. That piece is universally appreciated and valued by our curators making it OCD’s Top Nomination of the Day.
Our top nomination of the day is from @twirble
Upcycling is a creative way to reuse an old item or make a work of art out of it. In this post we can enjoy two upcycling projects by Twirble made with the collage technique and inspired by two common discarded items. Both of them are interesting creations with a contemporary message behind them.

Two Upcycled collage pieces "Information Overload"and "Politicians Talk
Our next nomination of the day is from @thermoplastic
@thermoplastic shares some artwork he created in 1992 of a depiction of a virus. He drew this a year before The Simpson's epic prediction of an outbreak like the Coronavirus, so was @thermoplastic the true inspiration for The Simpsons? Check out this great piece of work, it is pretty awesome.

Market Friday Goes to the Phsar Thmei (Central Market)
Our next nomination of the day is from @jacinta.sevilla
After quite a long time we can enjoy again a beautiful watercolour painting by Jacinta. The artwork is inspired by a famous Rococo painting and is presented to us with a lot of process photographs and videos.

Watercolor Painting of the Immaculate Conception.
Our next nomination of the day is from @gonzo
It all started a year ago when @gonzo woke up with a migraine, and vision and hearing issues one day. After a period of denial, followed by numerous tests, during which @gonzo has managed to keep his sense of humour, the time has finally come for the operation. It isn't the best time to have a brain operation when the coronavirus is blowing up, but I'm sure everyone will wish you all the best and a speedy recovery!!

I’m Having Surgery on Monday - In a Foreign Country!
The Ink Well is a friendly community for all of the poets and story tellers on the steem blockchain.
The Ink Well community nomination of the day is from @agmoore2
This short story is in response to The Ink Well fiction prompt challenge and @agmoore2 has done a fantastic job at creating a character with a bad habit called Lois. The author portray the character's self centered views on people and life perfectly. I found myself getting angry and frustrated with the main character, which is a sign of great characterization by a writer when they can elicit such feelings in the reader.
