The World Order as things stand now are in a start of frenzy, even the biggest of states or nations with the most advance technologies have had their fair share of the issues that arose with corona virus pandemic and one of the sectors that was also impacted was the educational sector. Although it may not have suffered as much as some economies which even saw the halting of markets and plummeting of currencies etc, education is one of the most important factors that determines the future of a nation and so when it has to be halted it creates lots of distress and worry

Recently i read in the news of some countries who in an attempt to slowly ease the restrictions in their state to get things back to normal opened some schools and immediately had to close as daily covid19 cases started soaring again. Korea had to close over hundred schools right after reopening and 50 french schools have been closed. In the United Kingdom the telegraph reported that parents are worried about their wards continuous stay at home and were asking when school will reopen but the question is Is it safe yet?

Currently my country has government leaders trying to pass a bill that would enable the educational minister have more say in the ways of the university management which is having lots of opposition as many claim that the acts are to ensure that the university remains and independent body so they should not pass the bill because governments should intervene but not interfere. Either way, my concern is that in developing countries like Ghana and the likes are not faced with the issue of having to migrate their students and the citizenry to a level of technological advancement where lots of things are been done online now. Studies and examinations are been conducted online and online studies have become the new -ish. But just some few months or years ago, people would have even opposed the idea of examination online and studies online with the the argument that it does not allow for human interaction.

In the High schools students were strictly prohibited from using any electronic gadgets in school and in boarding houses because the argument is it will distract them from studies but today they students are been forced to resort to these technologies to be able to study and because very few had the exposure to this the majority are still having difficulties getting acquainted with the new ways of things and thus can not learn.

I See a future where technology restrictions would be eased and students would be encouraged to make more efforts to get acquainted. COVID19 is probably going to be the instigator for the some of the greatest change in the education sector for developing nations. What do you think about the incorporation of technology fully in education? What is the state of educational affairs in your country?
