It was an unexpected journey to the one of the beautiful park of the country. Long trees, water, beautiful railway between jungles, few tribes -including everything the forest is just reserved forest is more than just beautiful.

There are several villages we found near this forest but interestingly we found two of them just inside the forest area.
These registered villagers got certain rights for their living like collection wood for their need and harvesting and agriculture in selected locations etc.

The forest is huge and covers 12.5 km² semi green reserve forest which covered by more than 150 kinds plants among 460 other species as per reference.

The way from Sreemongol to the forest is really beautiful and adventurous. After an hour of driving we were in a place where tall trees on the both side of the road and tea gardens some places. Trees like Tectona, Artocarpus Chaplasha and so many unknown tall trees.

I had no idea what could be in the part after reaching the main gate, this is a huge gate and the entry walking way is just amazing! Huge trees will lead you to the beautiful forest.

These tall trees are standing there for years , after couple of minutes walking we found a bridge on a mountain springs what must come from a little hill close by. There are several mountain springs passed through the forest. There are several little hills like 10 to 50 metres height with sand and soft rock in this area also we moved ups and downs to reach the villages.

Within 10 minutes walking we found a beautiful railway in the jungle! This track is so beautiful as it got the small corridor just to pass the rail although, it might not very good for the animals living in the jungle. Although government of Bangladesh declared this as a national park in 1996 still there could be more concentration in this area to overcome the unwanted deforestation.
In the 1925 British government started planting trees here and current authority ahould come forward to do the same so that they could do something in regard of world claimants.

It is recommended not to wear colourful dresses and patiently walk into the jungle to watch the wildlife. You'd find hundreds of birds and animals like deer, fox, bear, snacks etc.

The movie "Around the world in 80 days" was shot in this forest as a part of 144 places of 13 countries.

This forest is in Kamalganj Upazila in Moulvibazar where there several forest in this area.

We have seen so many know and unknown birds and few animals on the way, it was a short trip so we couldn't able to see all around. To go to the deep into the forest local guide must recommend besides it is not wise to stay deep in the jungle for long time.

If you love to be in the nature and want to watch longest trees of the country this park is popular. It is easy to get to this forest, there are many public transport to Srimongol and then you could hire CNG or private car to visit this place.

Thanks Everyone! I hope you've enjoyed walking with me!
