And so it begins...(?)

I don't even remember when was the last time STEEM was pumping so hard, let alone being the top gainer almost the entire day.

What I do remember though is people who just gave zero fucks about the price and the side effects of that bear market, and their only concern was, and still is, to create...to engage...to build.

I am one of those people...and so are most of you, regardless if you are reading these lines...or not.

Daily activity might be nowhere near to where it was a year ago but I rest assure you that all it takes is a couple of those very same pumps...and you'll see all those "fugitives" dusting off their keyboards.

You know pretty damn well whom I am referring to, right? NO?

To those who have decided to quit trying just because STEEM has no bright future. Or...no future at all...

To those who thought that their time is way more valuable than a couple of dollars and a few more worthless STEEM tokens.

To those who have powered down everything as their only concern obviously was to extract value rather than help reorganize and reform this place.

Those very same people that will act as nothing ever happened and they will seek for support when STEEM starts riding the waves...

Believers kept saying that this is the perfect time to accumulate as much STEEM as possible. And it is 100% true...

I mean...if buying STEEM at $0.10 - $0.12 isn't a steal then I don't really know what is.

  • And just like that...your account is worth almost 50% more.

  • And just like that...you can now earn...almost 50% less STEEM.

And when STEEM goes to $0.30 you will earn 1/4 STEEM tokens compared to...just yesterday.

On a side note...SBD almost touched its peg and by no means this has something to do with the sbdpotato thing..

If I am not mistaken, SBD will start being printed again the moment STEEM crosses the $0.23 mark.

Ok...I am gonna go grab a beer now and sit back watching those beautiful green candles...

Have a good one peeps.

Full Steem ahead.

<3 :) now, this can still be just a pump&dump but it doesn't matter, I'm much more interested how the communities will affect our daily steem routine :) can't wait to see @steempeak integration of the communities.

Even if it is, I really love to celebrate those small wins.

Can't wait to see what the future holds for Steem, but I have a feeling that it's gonna be a bright one

It's coming along nicely as we started in earnest doing most of the work last week and are already pretty far along.

What an exciting day to be cruising my feed. I love the low steem price but also like to see days like today which remind me that steem is still relevant. I've been holding my earnings as liquid as you can see in my wallet so I wonder when would be the time to power up. I had planned to diversify since I only hold steem. But steem is toooooo fun!

On top of that due to its unique design, also an amazing way to mine tokens. I mean...where the fuck is the fun in mining BTC or LTC (huge fan of LTC btw)

I had a btc minor in my apt in 2013. Lost the key. Mining with steem is easier for a normie like me.

Well, after a real long time I see that STEEM has pumped and I logged into STEEMIT almost like after a year and a half. Not sure if it's just a pump & dump, for what it's worth, I have logged back in and gotten my new set of keys too. :D

It might carry on or it might not. Markets do strange things. However, Steem is telling the world it is still here which is a good thing.

I agree many are going to regret not being more involved the last two years. We will see an increase in users returning with a few more episodes like this.

I have a feeling that we'll get there sooner rather than later

If I am not mistaken, SBD will start being printed again the moment STEEM crosses the $0.23 mark.

The printing of SBD has not stopped since the last hardfork (althought at a slower pace). Remember that the SPS pays out in SBD -not in steem- and there is no failsafe.

The point where the blockchain starts printing SBD as rewards is when steem hits the 0.19617 price but it only pays 100% if the median price feed gets to 0.218 (with the current supply).

Thanks for the clarification. I meant to write as a reward token...obviously skipped it, along with the median price of course.

So it's ~ $0.22 instead of $0.23.

I kinda get why they took away the ability to transfer 1 SBD for $1 worth of Steem. That's the best way of helping SBD keep the peg. You would think crypto people would understand that manipulation isn't going to help keep the peg.

I'm looking forward to SBD printing again, but until then I'm just stacking Steem.
