Covid-19 vaccine developed by BBIL

While scientists from all over the world are engaged in making Kovid-19 vaccine, India is in the process of launching Covaxin by August 15, 2020. But experts say that possibly it is not going to be launched within the said timeline. Because many clinical trials for this vaccine are yet to complete.. And until this gets completed, the vaccine cannot be used for Covid-19 patients. Some scientists said that all the clinical trials will be completed by August 15, 2020, but it unlikely won’t be ready to launch by the said timeline.

Knowing this news, I was a bit relieved. If I talk only about India, then we have been facing the Covid-19 virus since March. But the virus was actually seen in human body in China first in 2019. And since then, the virus slowly spread throughout the world.

People have faced several problems since the lockdown happened in India. First of all, several people got infected by Covid-19 virus and others had to sit at home by shutting down their all business operations. It was a tremendous blow to Indian economy. First lockdown was imposed for twenty one days in which all kind of business operations was shut down. People were not allowed to go outside the home until they needed to buy essential things like food items and medicines.

Later, the lockdown was increased till 31st May. From 1st June, unlock 1.0 started and continued till 30th June. In this period people got permission to work outside home by following social distancing. Temples were also opened for public. But it didn’t allow park and museums to open the doors for public. Schools and colleges are still not opened. Passenger’s trains are still not running. However, some special trains have been started for migrant labor so that they can go their home without any troubles.

Unlock 2.0 has now started from 1st July. Schools and colleges were about to open in this period, but still there is no information regarding it. I have heard that Several examinations have been abandoned except board exams and students are being promoted on the basis of their past performance. However, a state of India is published 10th standard result today.

Coronavirus changed the lifestyle of people. But when I heard yesterday that Bharat Biotech India Ltd (BBIL) has invented a vaccine called “Covaxin” that has potential to produce protective antibodies, I became happy because it will help us get our freedom back. But before that clinical trials are necessary to confirm that the vaccine is safe and capable to produce protective antibodies.

I believe that the vaccine will be ready for public use by or after August 15, 2020.
