Hi, and happy Mother's Day! She might be not around, but she is there...

My Memories of You

                          My memories are pictures,
                          still frames in the distance,
                          bits and fragments that remain,
                          one photo of your voice
                          speaking vintage colors,
                          one image of your smell
                          made of sepia scent.

                          My memories of you
                          are songs I never painted
and now that they are fading
                          away like aquarelles,
                          I realize it’s raining
                          over this shiny day.

That's really pretty. Once had a friend that used to always tell me appreciate your mother cuz one day she'll be gone. Ironically he died at an early age too. Found myself reflecting on few of my friends who are spending today remembering their mom. It's a pretty poem thanks for sharing.

Thank you, @dreamingirwin :)

I lost my mother when I was 21. It was hard then and it's hard now, only that you learn to live with it. They say you always have your memories to be with the people you love that are not here anymore, but the truth is that even memories die a little every day; some change, too. What never leaves you is the love you feel for them.

Thanks for the visit!

I'm sorry to hear that, I have to keep reminding myself of my blessings. It's sad that I need to be reminded. Yet our world today is almost designed to distract us from our Blessings.. Thanks for the reminder. <3

Excellent message enclose your poem. A mother's emptiness cannot be filled in any space where she finds a place for another glass of wine. Blessings.

Thanks, @elpastor

No person or thing can replace a mother. True.

Thanks for the visit and the blessings :)
