Your Work Stuff is Boring!

No One Cares!

If you are on Hive posting about all the gory details of your work then I wouldn't expect to get good results if I were you.

Chances are, no one is interested unless it's something that they can understand easily and about how they can make money off of it!

Is what you do really even that cool? Like, do you work at a ski resort or something? If not, than odds are nobody cares :(

Including all the effort you might even put into it, it's a waste of time my friends!

Struggling for Content?

Maybe that is what it is, I get it.

But, check out trending posts or other interesting things going on in the news.

See what topics are actually trending and see if you're interested in them. If so, that's something to write about and chances are there are people wanting to hear about it!

Target Content

I'm trying to figure out what works where. I don't want to abuse tags and I want my content relevant to the active users I think will see my posts based off the tags I use.

Sometimes I post the same type of content in different communities to see if certain active users in them to fish whales.

Fishing whales is the unspoken truth for a lot of Hive users, unless I'm the crazy one and could very well be the case!

Leo Exception

Leo may be an exception to some streams of work. Like if you're in business and post something about business in Leo, there is a much better chance you find someone interested and earn more up-votes.

Otherwise, I think business can be generally boring to most, no matter how much you are into it.

I had to give Leo a shout-out in my post to justify using the Leo tag, since I'm going to try and focus my Leo tag usage to be more relevant to finance and making money only!

I think there are some professions that people might be interested in, but I do see your point that if all you post about is your daily life working in a cubicle you might not have many followers.

But someone who works in a foundry and posts videos of the creation process and pouring iron in to a mold to create a new part for a vehicle or something would be pretty cool.

It is all in the eye of the beholder.

As to what content to post, post what you are passionate about and don't worry about whale votes. They are unpredictable and not something to be relied on. But if you post stuff that you know well, someone will discover you and give you good votes.

You are right. I should not have sounded so dismissive. But I'm with the time and like to make shocking headlines to attract readers! hahaha

You probably have a cool job, that's my guess!

Agreed on the whale votes too, but I still chase them and the other stuff you mentioned happens along the way too :)

I think you need to source your blog pictures, before @hivewatchers come by and .....

And quote:
