2020. It's a Wrap! Hello 2021

Let me just start by wishing you all a super happy New Year and may all the best come to you, including normal lives again. I don't know how your New Years Eve looked like, but mine was nothing compared to how I would normally fill it in. Staying home, falling asleep on the couch before midnight, waking up from the (illegal and currently banned) fireworks, and not even going outside but walking straight into my bed. I wouldn't call it the jump start of a New Years kick off. But nothing has been like that over the last year, so this fits the situation perfectly. So cheers to better days!

2020 was majorly dominated by Covid in my situation. Not because I have experienced it myself, but because it did define how life was lived over the last year. Some people lean over more because of this by staying away from the govermental rules, others follow these without thinking anything of it.

I am a mix myself of this I think. But this is mainly based on me working with covid patients a lot over the year and seeing what this disease does to a human internally, and that isn't really a pretty thing. So even though I would call myself a social animal, that didn't really go through this last year in 2020 I would say. And this mostly because I don't want to take these potential viral loads into other peoples houses because of my work. So I stay around hanging with my co workers and that is okay.

2020 was also a year which I had planned on travelling a lot which naturally didn't really go through but I still had a couple of weekenders here and there and I learned a lot about the nature and surroundings here in my new neighborhood here in Holland because of my new dog. Having a dog makes you want to explore more, and that was what 2020 was all about. Exploring more of the home area and finding this enough instead of taking a plane all over the world.

It's different and not necessarily a bad thing.

It was interesting to see last night how much fireworks were still shot into the air even though it is forbidden this year here in Holland. Around midnight I actually thought for a second if I had misinterpreted this rule wrong maybe, because it sounded like the third world war had started here.

Maybe people also don't realise that this isn't a rule to nag you, but to prevent people from infecting their nieghbors while wishing them drunk a happy new year, or shooting their hands off with fireworks. But hey...who am I to say this. I tend to stay out of these discussions because they heat up so fast. That is what I have learned in 2020 the most. Just staying out of it.

I just hope 2021 will be the start of some perspective again for a lot of people. I fear that economically this will be a lot worse than last year because it all is taking a little longer than expected.

Perspective on better days is important for the moral, I find. Without thinking about clinging on to better days, stuff gets difficult and thats not a cool thing. So hope and better days for people, good health, and that we all may become bitcoin millionaires.!

Go 2021 go!

Same here, but all is okay!

Truth.

Happy New Year to you and your dog!!
