The Coordinate Downvotes Attacks; Someone Is Bringing Back The Bad Bad Days

Lately I've been seeing people talking about downvotes and about four days ago I started getting my own fair share of the downvotes. Now this brings a feeling of nostalgia, I had to check out the list of the people being downvoted and this guys are honest creators, not even developers or large stake holders, just mid range hive power holders who just earned fairly okay on their posts and nothing spectacular and well talk of me too? To me the downvotes made no sense and I was thinking this guy in particular was doing this random assault just to maybe prove a point or bring him to the limelight.
It reminded me of one Korean on steem going after smaller boys just to prove a point to the bigger boys. To me this was the opposite of robin hood and the fact that we've started out quite well without the oligarchy of people downvoting people for not reason, I felt this old habit died with steem but now it seems someone loves the good old days of flag wars on steem and is trying to bring them back on hive. One thing is. If you'd ask me about whether we needed the downvotes on hive I'd definitely say we do, but what's the essence of the button itself? Is it to showcase superiority or to just fund one's hate campaign?
If not because of disagreement of reward, or plagiarism or other legitimate reasons, I see no sense in the random attack of people who's been flawless, never involved in theft, plagiarism or greedy means. But like I said earlier someone's out to prove a point to the bigger boys and instead of going after the bigger boys; they perform indirect attack and viola. Truth is, I'm never against flagging but then there has to be a willful and sensible reason and we can all go about it as gentleman and not like cavemen fighting each other for territory. I've heard people around saying SBI is the reason for the downvotes but then is this enough reason?
I myself haven't bought SBI neither do I use or or have I been a recipient, I've been a good citizen of hive, I've promoted the chain and I've invested my money too in it so I'm thinking of how I've directly been a threat to the chain that's made me a target for downvotes but then I've been no threats at all. Truth is, funneling one's personal agenda on a decentralised setting is an act of anarchy and to me I believe hive is the civilized version of steem and everything should come in process and come with with a logical methodology.
Truth is, I've hardly downvoted myself, unless I get random automated messages on my posts. If anyone should be downvoted, there should be a needful reason and not because the downvoters wants to get back at some particular people he hates on the blockchain. Recently I was robbed and I was Just about using my earning to galvanize my college fees. Thanks to @snook, @hiddenblade and many others, I raised a sizable amount to well continue my life. But then being downvoted for no reason? It's coordinated theft in my opinion because I'm hardly an A-List Earner and no one would disagree with a post that's got 7$ in reward and took four hours of actually putting up.

yeah I agree, a downvote should come with some sort of explanation. Perhaps the chain could make it mandatory to write a small comment when downvoting? Not that this wouldn't lead people to just fill it with jibberish, but at least it would suggest to the downvoter that his or her action needs some justification.

So perhaps he or she thinks that you have been doing something like that? Probably it's the SBI you mentioned (which I have been attacked for as well)
Well I'm not guilty for any of the things mentioned there and honestly I've tried to keep a clean slate so far without contradicting myself. I've neither bought SBI myself. But then an explanation is s civilized way and I can make ammends if it was me who's been wrong all along.

Yeah you're right about that.
So far I haven't yet seen a justifiable downvote by a bigger account to little ones,specially the many making tiny earnings. There's a better way to come out if indeed that's the reason for downvoting 'budding' ninjas in the 'mine'.
