Elliot Udo, músico reconocido en el mundo del jazz deja el mundo de la música por algunos problemas personales, junto a su amigo de toda la vida Farid abren un bar en Francia, donde crean una pequeña banda que toca todas las noches con canciones escritas por Elliot, dejando atrás su divorcio, sus problemas, su música. Pero todo deja de estar calmado cuando las deudas salen a flote, Farid era el encargado de sostener el bar mientras que Elliot solo se encargaba de la música, están pasando por un mal momento y los cobradores tienen poca paciencia, aparte de la inesperada llegada de la hija adolescente de Elliot ¿Como podrá mantener todo a flote?
Elliot Udo, a renowned jazz musician leaves the music world for some personal problems, together with his longtime friend Farid open a bar in France, where they create a small band that plays every night with songs written by Elliot, leaving behind his divorce, his problems, his music. But everything is no longer calm when the debts come to the fore, Farid was in charge of holding the bar while Elliot was only in charge of the music, they are having a bad time and the collectors have little patience, apart from the unexpected arrival of Elliot's teenage daughter, How can he keep everything afloat?

Quise ver The Eddy por el simple hecho de que habría música, me gusta como se complementa en una serie o película, vi esta serie cuando salio no hace mucho pero no tuve la oportunidad de hablar de ella, hasta que me tope con su soundtrack y recordé esta maravilla. Primero debo decir que el director de esta miniserie es el mismo que hizo Lalaland y Whiplash, así que si han visto estas películas saben perfectamente que abra buena música de por medio.
Me encantó que estuviera ambientada fuera de Estados unidos, es en París donde todo ocurre y ver otros paisajes es calmante, entretenido, diferente. El elenco esta repleto de músicos, no puedo decir que la actuación de todos me atrapo, algunos los siento muy flojos y su desarrollo aun más, sentí que pudo estancarse la serie en uno o dos momentos, que no avanzaba, es lenta pero la música te hace olvidar eso.
Son solo ocho capítulos que tiene esta serie, es bastante entretenida por su música, su historia no esta mal pero siento que pudo ser mejor desarrollada, escuchar el francés en ocasiones me fascinaba y siempre me preguntaba ¿Como entra la mafia en una serie musical? y poco a poco me mostraban como se podía.
I wanted to see The Eddy for the simple fact that there would be music, I like how it complements in a series or movie, I saw this series when it came out not long ago but I did not have the opportunity to talk about it, until I came across its soundtrack and I remembered this wonder. First I must say that the director of this miniseries is the same one that Lalaland and Whiplash made, so if you have seen these films you know perfectly well that good music is involved.
I loved that it was set outside the United States, it is in Paris where everything happens and seeing other landscapes is calming, entertaining, different. The cast is full of musicians, I can not say that everyone's performance caught me, some feel very weak and its development even more, I felt that the series could stagnate in one or two moments, that it did not advance, it is slow but the music makes you forget that.
There are only eight chapters that this series has, it is quite entertaining for its music, its history is not bad but I feel that it could be better developed, listening to French sometimes fascinated me and I always wondered how does the mafia enter a musical series? and little by little they showed me how it was possible.
