Cruising through Market Friday Challenge | Flower Festival

Nothing is greater than having the streets filled with fresh colourful flower beautifully decorated in pots, all ready for the locals to purchase. I do envy their home for I'm sure they are all filled with these wonderful flowers. All brought in from the nursery; near and far to celebrate what I last remember to be the my first TET Lunar festival in Vietnam.

Who needs to go to an actual flower market when the streets of Saigon itself is the market. Not only one can buy flowers, but food, fruits, drinks and anything else that you can think off. Street side marketing is a very common lifestyle in Vietnam and is their way of life.

But, today it's all about flowers and it's beauty. With all the gloominess in the world, we so need to have some colours in our lives and hope. Looking at these photos from my gallery, it reminds me so much of what we have taken for granted and what we aim to achieve.

LIFE ! The joy seemed so far for many of us.

This is the one tag and weekly challenge that I try to make a point to join; not to mention that I'm also a fanatic when it comes to sight seeing or shopping in any form of market - indoors, outdoors, food, textile, accessories and etc.

It is always interesting to see the different markets around the globe!
There's so many different cultures and beauty in this world and the more we travel and open up our eyes, the more we gain.

  1. Go to the market! Any market will do! Food, Clothing, Plant or Animal, if you wish. You can go to the zoo or an art auction. Anywhere or anything that you pay money for a service.
  2. Take pictures! Be creative (or not)

I couldn't agree more with you.
We all need colours and life around us.. be it flowers, trees or even animals, even the sounds of waterfall makes a big difference

You are such an optimistic personality! I love that about you. What a wonderful time to be in Vietnam! The streets are exploding with color and activity in celebration!

We need a reason to celebrate! You and your beautiful post are a bright spot in the lineup. Thank you. Tonight it rained hard and I prayed that this rain will wash away the sadness that covers the world. We can do it. We just need to believe. Your post is inspirational.

Thanks @dswigle for your kind words.
At times like these, we so need some bright sunny days in our lives.
It's been raining in the night and late afternoon in Saigon.
Then again, that's summer here...

I can only look through my gallery of photos and find joys in what I have experience in the past.
All these beautiful and wonderful memories do bring a smile to my sometimes gloomy days.
I hope you have good days too.. we all need it
