Kostas Tsimikas has just been introduced at the champions' Melwood training facility. He is set to take up the fight with Andy Robertson at left-back next season. The Greek has been picked up in Olympiakos and that on a long-term contract.

Tsimikas made his senior debut in Olympiakos back in 2015, and he has previously been loaned out to Danish Esbjerg FB. He has played three international matches for Greece so far.

I am very happy. I'm proud to be here. To me, it's the biggest club in the world. It is a great honor to be here and I will give my best.

The Greek born was given the jersey number 21, and will join Klopps squad when pre-season starts. The German manager is happy with his new player, and he had this to say;

We have been looking at Kostas for a long time now and we are very happy he has joined us. That's the perfect news before we meet again. He is a really good player with a winning attitude and a strong competition mentality. He fits in perfectly with the rest of the group in the dressing room.

Liverpool had previously been linked with Norwich player Jamal Lewis, but that deal must now probably be considered buried.
