Who do I follow on steem and why?

This question is an easy one for me to answer, but not that easy to narrow down to only a handful of people. I don't want to make this 2500-word epic though so will do my best.

Everyone I follow deserves a mention here, along with many others I interact with and I want to say upfront that steem has opened the door, and line of communication, to many great people all bringing their own unique talents, personalities and expertise to the table, the community.

As my only social media I am content here on steem and grateful to everyone who contributes positively, with passion and personality. I don't follow everyone of course although see so many excellent users out there adding their own flair to the community...I'd like to mention many but I'll play along with the rules and select only a few.

Hmm, OK now to narrow down the list:

@abh12345 - I came across this hard-working chap through my brother and soon came to enjoy his sense of humour, intelligence and calm manner; When he speaks I listen intently. Combining an extensive knowledge of the blockchain with humour and an obvious passion for statistics this guy is a great user to kick off my list with. A special shout-out for the work he does behind the scenes running the Curation and Engagement League too! This user cares about steem, works hard to promote it and drive it forward...And he's a top sort.

@badseedalchemist - This rockstar makes my list because he is a passionate user, doesn't shy away from exposing his inner-most thoughts and feelings and keeps it real. This talented singer, writer and thinker injects passion and personality in tremendous amounts and his honesty, with self and his writing, is a credit to him. He's just starting out here and deserves a mention for the way he's jumped in head first and has emotionally bought-into the steem concept. He's a funny guy, passionate about his partner (@audiefaith) and an enjoyable person to interact with. He's a good egg.

@meesterboom - Not much of a reason is needed here folks; Read his posts and you'll know why he's on my list. The BOOM...Intensely funny, incredibly intelligent and one of the best writers I've come across. The way he crams so much meaning, humour and humanness into such few words grabbed me right from the start. This talented bloke, has a way of turning the most prosaic of things into an inspired [sometimes irreverent] piece of writing and is incredibly fun engage with too!

You seriously want me to narrow my followers down to just a handful? This is so difficult!

@riverflows - A fellow Aussie, Riv makes my list because she's a lot like me, but way better. She's a creative thinker, intelligent and has that same affable and easy-going nature you'll find in many Australians. She's happy to respectfully disagree with me and explain why, and see my point of view on things even if she doesn't completely concur; Another fun person who adds a bucket-load of personality to her writing and comment-interaction. She values the steem-community and the relationships she's built, writes on a wide variety of topics and is another good egg...Although she may be vegan and not appreciate my egg comment...Do they even make vegan eggs bro? 😂

One more? Ok, you twisted my arm.

@adeyemidrey - This young man reached out to me on discord and began to engage a little. He has to work hard at real life, to create his best version of it, and he brings that same ethos to steem; He works hard, and whilst at times feels self-conscious about the integrity of his writing as english isn't his first language he forges ahead building his brand, sharing his thoughts and bringing his unique version of personality to steem.

Over my time here I've found many interesting and valuable people to engage with; These four are not the sum and total. I value all of those users I follow and those I interact with. In my fortunate position as a curator for @curangel and @c-squared I get to explore many users and to promote them to the wider community and my own network. It is a pleasure.

Initiatives like this one @theycallmedan has recently promoted is a great way to highlight some steem users and to get that snowball rolling down the hill. Find out more about the who do I follow initiative here and...
