Bridges in Budapest - Liberty Bridge (10+1 shots)
This time, I am sharing the shots of Liberty Bridge in Budapest. It's not that iconic as the Chain Bridge, but still, it's very impressive and my personal favorite, which is always photogenic. But during the blue and night hours, it is simply amazing.
The construction of the bridge was completed in 1896. At the very end of WW II. the retreating German troops exploded it. The reconstruction used the original plans and it was reopened late summer in 1946. It's interesting that there was not enough green paint at that time, so the bridge remained gray until 1984.
The first and last photos are the same. The last is an exaggerated HDR edition. :-)
