Una imagen nos dice y hace sentir emociones que las palabras a veces no pueden comunicar, aunque trato de describir los aspectos históricos, naturales, culturales, sociales y mitológicos de los lugares que visito, en Grecia ha sido diferente. La tierra de los dioses, titanes y adivinos es tan interesante como hermosa, así que presento un ilustrado resumen para que su lenguaje fotográfico les cuente su origen, historia y evolución; espero que sea de su agrado.

An image tells us and makes us feel emotions that sometimes words cannot communicate, although I try to describe the historical, natural, cultural, social and mythological aspects of the places I visit, in Greece it has been different. The land of the gods, titans and soothsayers is as interesting as it is beautiful, so I present an illustrated summary to tell you about its origin, history and evolution through its photographic language; I hope you like it.

Estas hermosas costas y su litoral rocoso son producto de complejos procesos orogénicos con su influencia Alpina y descomunal fuerza volcánica que esculpió un sistema de acantilados con roca caliza y zonas con generoso paisaje karstico, en los que abunda rocas de origen volcánico.

These beautiful coasts and their rocky coastline are the product of complex orogenic processes with their alpine influence and enormous volcanic force that sculpted a system of limestone cliffs and areas with a generous karst landscape, where volcanic rocks and black sands abound.

Hay que reconocer la habilidad de arquitectura e ingeniería que culturalmente poseen los griegos. En un accidentado litoral construyeron hermosos centros urbanos llenos de fantasía y color, con sus escaleras y calles empedradas que le dan un exquisito toque natural y original.

One must recognize the architectural and engineering skills that the Greeks culturally possess. On a rugged coastline they built beautiful urban centers full of fantasy and color, with their stairs and cobbled streets that give them an exquisite natural and original touch.

Desafiando las leyes de gravedad y aprovechando la solidez de las rocas volcánicas edificaron de manera bien pensada cada casa, sitio público, hoteles y sistema de comunicación terrestre.

Defying the laws of gravity and taking advantage of the solidity of the volcanic rocks, they built every house, public site, hotel and terrestrial communication system in a well thought out manner.

Esto no es fortuito, uno de los sistemas de defensa que históricamente utilizaron fue la construcción de sus ciudades estados en las partes más altas de su territorio para tener mejores ventajas ante posibles invasores o enemigos.

This is not fortuitous, one of the defense systems they historically used was the construction of their city states in the highest parts of their territory to have better advantages against possible invaders or enemies.

La presencia de plantas ornamentales dentro y fuera del área urbana deja ver que son respetuosos con la naturaleza.

No puedo ocultar mi emoción ante tanta maravilla. El esplendor de este paisaje marino costero me encanta. Es un fragmento del paraíso en la Tierra.

Los sectores residenciales son muy hermosos, es como que se hubiesen puesto de acuerdo para pintar sus casas con colores blanco y azul.

The residential areas are very beautiful, it is as if they had agreed to paint their houses with white and blue colors.

El tono de las paredes en el hotel, combinado con el color del agua y celeste cielo son perfectos en esta maravillosa tarde.

The tone of the walls in the hotel, combined with the color of the water and the blue sky are perfect on this wonderful afternoon.

El burro es el animal emblemático de esta isla; según la leyenda cuentan que se le coloca esta esfera terrestre porque es quien carga el mundo en sus lomos. Bueno, eso fue lo que me contó un mozo en el Hotel Veggera.

The donkey is the emblematic animal of this island; according to legend, this terrestrial sphere is placed on it because it carries the world on its back. Well, that's what a waiter at the Hotel Veggera told me.

Hasta aquí mi resumen fotográfico con imágenes inéditas y contenido propio. La descripción geológica, geográfica y natural es producto de mi experiencia académica y fanática a los viajes. Me encanta la naturaleza y por eso resalto cada componente biótico y abiótico cuando llama mi atención.
