Viele Familien bekamen gestern Maismehl. Es ist dort das Hauptnahrungsmittel. Es wird daraus Posho gemacht, ein ziemlich fester Brei. Dieser wird meist mit Bohnen und etwas Soße gegessen.

Many families received corn flour yesterday. It is the main food there. It is made into posho, a fairly firm paste. This is usually eaten with beans and a little sauce.

In Uganda gibt es die ersten Todesopfer und die Preise für Lebensmittel ziehen enorm an.

Normalerweise verschenken wir Licht (Solar-Systeme), aber wir denken, daß es im Moment wichtiger ist, Geld für Nahrungsmittel zu sammeln.
Die Menschen dort haben schon in "guten" Zeiten oft nicht genug zu essen...jetzt ist das die Katastrophe...

Wir sammeln weiter, aber im Moment nicht für Solar-Systeme, sondern für Lebensmittel.
Jeder Euro hilft!

The first fatalities occur in Uganda and food prices are rising enormously.

We usually give away light (solar systems), but we think that it is more important to raise money for food at the moment.
The people there often don't have enough to eat in "good" times ... now that's a disaster ...

We continue to collect, but not for solar systems at the moment, but for food.
Every Euro helps!
