Wild Sunset in Virginia

In the continuity of my work, it was a summer night in the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. The decorum was fantastic. Wildflowers were rising before the sunset trying to store the last beams of light that maintain them alive.

Thank you so much, @jaynie! I have never been tipped before. It does feel good ;) You are right, the scenery is perfect for painting. Unfortunately, my painting skills are quite low... But here is a printed version of my photo (sorry for the size of the picture, still don't know how to make it appears smaller)

My pleasure :)

Man that really is gorgeous!!! My mom was a magnificent artist and teacher. She passed on June 20th and (no pressure) has left all her oil paints and books to me and said I must start painting haha... She taught me a little in acrylics, but never oils... and I pale by comparison... however, having said that... she did prove one thing to me... ANYONE can paint under the guidance of the right teacher :)

Sorry for your loss...It is indeed a bit of pressure there. But I'm sure whatever you decide to do she will be ok with it as long as that makes you happy :)
This being said, some of the most magnificent paintings have been made during tragic period of the artists' life. It could be, sadly, the right time for your creative art to flourish.

True on both counts! Time... I suppose that is all that is needed!

Coincidence or not, last night I went over my too many social media accounts and read a comment on this particular photo. The person asked if that was ok that her/his last painting was inspired by it. Pretty cool, isn't it? Here is a screenshot of this person IG account with me commenting ;)
