Taking a walk on New Year’s Day

Hello everyone.
The weather around here has been mostly cloudy and rainy lately. Sadly New Year’s Day was the same but I decided to set out for a walk because the rain seems to stop for a little while. I dragged my youngest daughter along although she didn’t want to go. I made sure to take umbrellas with us this time since we’ve rained many times during the walks before.
I suggested to take a different route this time, crossing the bridge near by and headed to downtown but my daughter disagreed. “Too far!” she said so we still agreed to cross the bridge but not heading downtown then walked under the bridge and took a water taxi back to our side.

Here we go! Crossing the bridge seems long way to go but actually it’s not so bad. It took about 15 minutes to cross.

皆さんこんにちは。
こちらは雨ばかりのお天気が続いています。元旦も雨でした。
朝から空を見上げては様子をうかがい、昼頃に少しの間雨が上がったようだったのでお散歩に出かけることにしました。嫌がる次女ちゃんを引きずって、笑
でも今回はちゃんと傘を持って出かけました。最近途中で振られてびしょ濡れになることが何度かありましたからね。
次女ちゃんに橋を渡ってダウンタウンに行ってみようか？と言うと速攻で却下されました。
ので、交渉後、橋は渡る、けれどダウンタウンには向かわず、橋の下からウォータータクシーに乗って帰ることになりました。

出発です！
橋を渡ると聞くと長い長いお散歩に思えますが15分くらいで渡れます。
下の写真は橋の真ん中にあるもの。

バイバイダウンタウン〜

Here we were safely arrived on the other side.
The rain started at this point. We were about 30 minutes walk to home but good thing we brought umbrellas ! There were many people like us taking a walk and some even going polar bear swim.
It was a fun walk even in the rain. There are some different route you can take on the water taxi. It would be fun to explore more on a sunny day.
