Actors or mentally ill people?
This another bro-science post. Nothing here is really researched. I'm not forcing you to read.
What is Hollywood?
Why is it that throughout much of the world we worship a town and society filled with mentally ill people. A town of pure egos. A town of people with straight up multiple personality disorders.
If I told you that in my spare time, as a hobby, I like to pretend I am many other people, how would you feel?
'Yeah you know I find it soooo fun to like pretend I'm other people. Male or female. Young or old. Evil or good. I even put on various types of costumes and like change my voice and everything! It's art yay!!'
Uh, what. Why is the ability to basically be deceptive and pretend you're something else, praised and respected?
If you heard me or some other person make that statement, would you think 'wow what a neat and artistic person!' or would it be more like 'holy crap that person is straight up NUTS' ?
Daniel Day-Lewis, sick pretends bruh! Dustin Hoffman, Jared Leto, Angelina Jolie, Heath Legder. These people act in character even after the director says 'cut!'. Method acting, I guess. Wow so cool and perfectly normal to continue to pretend you're someone else after you leave the set! Yay much praise!'
Gross.
Like I said previously, we as a society have come to enrich these mentally sick people. We have given them power and influence as well.
We live in a society where Jeffery Epstein and Harvey Weinstein could be creeps for years. These men were close to and friends with many many modern day celebrities and powerful people in general.
With Hollywood being such a huge thing in our world, and it being ran by sick sick people, what should we really believe?
Basically ask yourself what would an egotistical and mentally ill group of people be capable of? Yeah, it should scare you.
What is the difference between the movies and images and CGI we see in movies, and the news we see on television. Movies look pretty real with a good enough budget? Think about the budget for various news companies.
There are so many implications out of Hollywood when you consider that the people within it are actually insane.
Hollywood is a hell hole. It’s the worst possible atmosphere to be living in. It changes most people.
When I got to this country as a teenager, I wanted to get into show business and started going to movie extras jobs here and there, studying cinema in college, etc... I keep thanking the universe that at some point (pretty quickly) I stopped and got out of there, that I didn’t keep going and didn’t get deeper into acting/modeling/etc stuff... If I did, knowing my dark inclinations and longing for weird adventures and my identity problems back then, I would probably end up completely damaged.
Don’t get me wrong, I Still love Cinematography and Art, but to me it is SEPARATE from showbiz now.
True, I definitely love some movies too. Interesting points and perspective! I am glad you got out of there too! No doubt, various needs or ambitions can force people into some not-so-good or just bad decisions. My girlfriend told me recently that when she was growing up she said she subconsciously felt that if she ever wanted to go into Hollywood/show business she would have to be promiscuous and whatnot. That's incredibly sad! Yes I agree those arts are separate nowadays, I just believe when it comes to specifically Hollywood, they're shady history likely goes back hundreds of years. thanks for commenting :)
