Today's dream: Mortal fight under the sea

My father had a mortal enemy. They had fought before, and he was repulsive in personality, wanting to take things that should not be taken. His mere character was nauseous, and he was standing right there beside us. We were under a tall table, hiding between its legs, all my family huddled up together. The man standing there was creeping us out. We decided to go for it and fight him as one.

We jumped out of under the table, and I noticed that we were under an enormous body of water. It was clear as day, but the light did not come from only one point but directly from above the surface. I looked up and saw my family swimming towards the man. I swam after them, and we surrounded him. I pulled out a wooden paddle and started hitting him in the head, to no effect, repeatedly for over a minute, hit, hit, hit.

My mother looked at me with an expression that said: "stop it, you're not accomplishing anything but building resentment in him and endangering our future". I felt ashamed that I had kept hitting him in the head, even though I knew it was not doing anything "wrong", and I put my paddle away.

Then, my older brother pulled out some kind of suitcase. We were awed because we knew that its function was to make people smaller and repress them inside. He approached the man and simply made him small and put him in the container, but the man floated out immediately, unconscious, and with a grenade the same size of him right beside him.

I was surprised that he had such a big grenade because it was a bit bigger than his shrunk body. Why and how would anyone carry a 2-meter tall grenade? Then I thought, maybe the weapon had not shrunk with him, but he had shrunk and it came out of his pocket. Maybe he came prepared just for this occasion. Suddenly, the grenade exploded and we were all pushed away from him. When we swam back, he was not there anymore.

I looked around, and it indeed was a beautiful environment. There was a coral reef, everything was naturally coloured, not bluish, and I could see much farther than I would normally be able to under the sea. It was like a mixture of open-air and ocean waters.
