I dreamt of a future world. Society and politics had changed. The government where I was decided that there was an overpopulation problem that burdened the state. They decided to create concentration camps covered with pink grass, with open borders with only a one-wire fence that encircled it. The pink grass was somehow seductive to humans. I wanted to solve this, I hated the fact that friends of mine and everyone I knew around me would be here, dying.

I walked by with a friend, perhaps to rescue people, maybe to see what was going on. Once I was beside it, my friend simply walked inside. When I saw him deciding to go inside, I had been thinking about the field's seductive potency. I was intrigued that humans were able to be enticed so strongly to walk to their deaths. I saw my friend's eyes pointing there. He started stepping toward the field. I tried to hold him, grabbed him by the arm and pulled, but he was much stronger than me and did not even pay attention as I used my body's faint weight to pull him away. He simply walked inside, and I had to let him go.

I called for him, tried to pull out other people. I lost hope and looked around. It was night, there were pink fields to my right, a forest to the left, and I was on a long and straight brown path. I looked to the right, and bright flames suddenly lit up in the camp. They were so yellow and so strong that it seemed like magic. They only stayed for a few seconds and on their way up, I could see the bodies disintegrating and being pushed toward the air like stardust. The flame fell, and I was left alone.

A dream of cats and plants

Outside a gate, I saw two cats trying to go in. I knew that the owners of the building knew there were cats outside, but they had forbidden people from letting them in. I felt like letting them in, so I opened the gate for them. They went in; one orange, one grey. I wondered if they would be happier. They seemed to enjoy the freedom.

I walked inside and followed them, or walked along with them. Time passed. I was now in the building's yard with around a dozen people. They were all spread out, looking at the plants in the pots, others talking. There was this professor who was talking beside a plant pot. He was young and handsome. His hairstyle and clothes seemed to belong more in anime than in modern times. He was explaining things about plants, evolution, and ecosystems.

I looked inside the pot and saw the cat I had invited in, which looked more like a tiny cat-man than a cat. He opened his cat eyes and looked at me adorably. He raised his humanoid-but-still-hairy-and-orange hand and reached towards me. It was thinner than a baby's, like a young boy's hand shrunk to cat-size. I put my hand in his hand, and it was warm.

I looked around him, and there was another cat there among the plants. They seemed to have made a nest in there. They seemed to depend on this pot to sustain their humanoid form. They were lying on their backs like fairies resting in their magical place, emanating joy.
