Monomad Challenge: Skies

This is my entry for the Monomad challenge to post an awesome black and white picture!

Looking at the suggested guidelines for the post for the day of the week, (can be found by looking at the account @ brumest but I won’t tag him in my first one so I can discover the feel for the challenge) I will keep this one until Sunday. I have some pretty awesome sky pictures that I took several years ago snowboarding in Vermont.

This was taken by me in Vermont. Below is another image I took that day! Perhaps the only selfie I’ve ever taken and will ever take lol

Thanks! I love taking black and white pictures but don’t usually find the correct scene to do so. I have some pictures from this past winter I need to edit to try and touch up that I think will be really cool.

Thanks dude! I think these are maybe the coolest pictures I’ve ever taken and it was just with a basic smartphone lol not even one of the new iPhones.

It’s crazy the capabilities we have in our pockets these days. As a child I never thought to photograph anything I did, mostly because I never had a camera.

I love the way the cables disappear into the distance, it feels mysterious, sort of makes a person wonder what may be beyond the fog and cloud...of course, the other end of the ski lift I guess...I think the black and white nature of this photo lends it appeal to. Such a nice picture.

I know, it does doesn’t it? It makes me think that the cables go down thousands of feet into the abyss of some world we may not want to go to lol but in reality they only go down about another 1k feet. The day I was there was crazy foggy but this mountain is known for that, it’s called Jay cloud, being Jay peak in northern Vermont. I have a few more from the day that aren’t as dramatic but still cool I think. I’ll post them in more Monomad challenges!

I am certainly no photographer and only judge photos by what they make me feel. So, if they make me feel good it's a good one, if they make me feel bad...Well, I don't comment. Lol. I'll have to see if I can find something suitable for the monomad thing. Is there any entry criteria I have to know about?

There is! If you search for the account brumest that one posts the challenge criteria and results. This was actually my first time entering! I’ve seen the posts a lot but never managed to enter until a friend tagged me.

Alternatively you could click on the monomad tag and there are lots of posts that include it. I guess I just didn’t want to tag the account since I’ve never done it but hopefully mine isn’t missed lol

Ah ok, so there is rules. I'm not much of a contest enterer...I might just post some black and white photos as part of my posts and leave it at that.
