Seal chillin' on a rock in the middle of the sea

avatar
Okay, this incident was quite interesting!
We were out boating when we suddenly saw something dark/gray on the sea surface.
The thing was quite far away so it was hard to see what it was. At first, we thought it was some kind of debris or something but when I picked up my camera with mega zoom, I realized it was something else.
A seal! It was just laying there on a small rock in the middle of the sea, enjoying the sun.
What a pleasant surprise!
Unfortunately, the pictures aren't perfect because it was really hard to hold the camera steady when the boat was rocking and I was using almost full zoom with my camera.

Lol, pictures weren’t clear? They are more clear than anything I have seen.

Lol, I am not a professional photographer though. But these pics looks awesome.

Really good to see sea creatures enjoying out there.

Amazing @borran and I both LOVE and worry when I see seals. We live on the sea and luckily in our area there are no seals, but that usually means almost no sharks as well, as they LOVE to eat seals.

Further on Cape Cod, where I live , there is an area known for seals, so It's nice to go there to watch them, but I'm happy they are not on our beach, even though I always had a fantasy as a child to befriend a motherless seal pup and swim and grow together LOL.
