Picasso is Hurt!

Picasso is once again not feeling so well. If you have read some of my previous posts about Picasso, you might remember that she has had some health issues before.
This time, she got into a fight with a big male cat.The evil cat attacked poor Picasso when she was sleeping in our backyard. Luckily we were home and could break up the fight immediately. At first Picasso looked fine, but then we realized she had a nasty wound in one of her back legs.

We went to the veterinary and she said that the wound was so deep that it had to be stitched up. She got three stitches and a bottle of antibiotics.

This means that she now has to wear a cat cone and stay indoors for 10 days... 10 DAYS! This is going to be a long week and a half!
She hates that cone so much, and I understand 100 % why!
Right now, we are on the seventh day and it hasn't been easy either for us or her.
Many sleepless nights...and exhausting days.
Can't wait to let her go outdoors next Wednesday!

I'm sorry she was hurt. At least her time in the cone is almost over, I know what that's like for adult cats, although my kitten didn't seem to care much about the cone. The funniest was the time that he was running around in the cone, would catch it the edge on something and turn somersaults.
The last picture is actually pretty hilarious: lamp and lamp ;)

Oh I am so sorry for your cat, I hope it will turn out for the better! The cone must feel so uncomfortable for the cat! In the last picture she looked kinds funny, with her eyes peaking out from the cone! I wish her health!

Sorry to know that your cat, Picasso", is hurt! Hope she gets well very soon.

In the meantime, even though she wears the cat cone, she looks so cute with the big rounded eyes.... (last photo) ;)
