Justin Sun's tweet is a reason to worry
As if the weird AMA interview with Ned wasn't weird enough, today I ran into a tweet from @justinsunsteemit himself that sort of puts me on edge.
It's of course very early days because nothing has been put on the ground but what I can say for sure is that Sun has no interest in improving Steem blockchain and is mostly interested in JUST Steemit and probably their Stake in the community.
In the tweet mentioned above, he linked an article from The daily hodl that talked about the impending "merger", one line that stood out and got me on edge is;
"Old Steem tokens will be converted to new Tron-based Steem tokens.
This is completely different from what he said in his AMA interview with Ned. Then again, considering how he's been so casual about the deal, It's not out of the question to assume that he didn't notice that line in the article. Either way, I'm shitting bricks right now and cannot help but feel apocalyptic. Time will tell.
I absolutely hate this.
Same here. I've never felt so insecure about Steem
Honestly we're still on edge, why can't we have full communication

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.
He's so sneaky. It's infuriating
I don’t think Sun understands decentralization 😅
lol We just have to watch and hope for the best. SCARY!!!
Well if it makes you feel any better, during the AMA he said there would be no token swap(for now), that he wasn't trying to get rid of the Steem blockchain, and that he wanted to collaborate.
Also there was a message from Eli that said, that Steemit was definitely not going to do anything to harm the Steem blockchain. I think he just excitedly wanted to poop on the news of Voice coming out, which he did. He walked all those comments back during the AMA.
I figured it was just a PR stunt and pooping over Voice was a classy touch I must add. I didn't even get a whiff of it on my timeline.
It just felt weird posting that article on his twitter after the things he said in the AMA. I hope he stays true to his words though
Friend, the uncertainty that currently exists due to the lack of information could become a time bomb.
This tense calm can be broken with massive powerdowns. Passengers are about to leave the ship.
There's some calm now that people have realised that nothing is going to change, at least for now.
I hope you are right. Hopefully nothing changed, at least not deeply.
That is, hopefully Steemit remains Steemit.
Better yet, there should be a substantial improvement. Hopefully Justin’s mind and millions, launch Steemit to the moon.
