The path of history
Hello to all dear friends and welcome back to my blog.
Today I share with you a painting I have been working on for several months.
A journey through history, born from my idea of representing a road into the unknown.
I propose a visual story that has surreal connotations in which well-defined architectural elements, pieces of columns, temples, statues and vaults with arches take shape.
I inserted these ancient elements into a perspective road that leads to a space full of light.
I did not want to represent the natural sky, but a glimpse of light that cuts the dark and is reflected at the bottom.
Apparently we look at a road, a path to be done with our legs or our brains, but the road is without matter, smooth and luminous like a mirror of reflective water.
It is an open space, there is no top and bottom, only reflected light.
Unaware, we don't know where this journey will lead.
It is the same concept that I dealt with in my basic idea, the absence of planning for a future that is unknown of which we only see rays of light in the dark.
Man is represented by figures on the edges of this future, without a precise half.
The road has been traced and we take a look at the past as a leap in time, in a clear and documented perspective but now buried forever by our social behaviors.
I represented the immobility of human beings who cling to past memories without taking a stance towards a dangerous future.
We adapt behaviors and habits to improbable geometries, to false perspectives and we do not care about our future, we are already in the next perspective which has a very worrying vanishing point.
I leave you with all the stages of the realization of the painting.
To make it I used oil paints and natural earths mixed with linseed oil.

Il percorso della storia
Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog.
Oggi condivido con voi un dipinto al quale lavoro da diversi mesi.
Un viaggio nella storia, nato da una mia idea di rappresentare una strada verso l'ignoto.
Propongo una storia visiva che ha connotazioni surreali nella quale prendono corpo elementi architettonici ben definiti, pezzi di colonne, templi, statue e volte con archi.
Ho inserito questi elementi antichi all'interno di una strada in prospettiva che porta verso uno spazio pieno di luce.
Non ho voluto rappresentare il cielo naturale, ma uno squarcio di luce che taglia il buio e si riflette in basso.
In apparenza guardiamo una strada, un percorso da fare con le nostre gambe o con il nostro cervello, ma la strada è senza materia, liscia e luminosa come un specchio di acqua riflettente.
E' uno spazio aperto, non esiste l'alto e il basso, solo luce riflessa.
Ignari, non sappiamo dove porterà questo tragitto.
Esso è lo stesso concetto che ho affrontato nella mia idea di base, l'assenza di programmazione per un futuro che è sconosciuto di cui vediamo solo raggi di luce nel buio.
L'uomo è rappresentato da figure sui bordi di questo futuro, senza una metà precisa.
La strada è stata tracciata e noi diamo uno sguardo al passato come un salto nel tempo, in una prospettiva chiara e documentata ma ormai sepolta per sempre dai nostri comportamenti sociali.
Ho rappresentato l'immobilismo degli esseri umani che si aggrappano ai ricordi del passato senza prendere posizione verso un futuro pericoloso.
Adattiamo i comportamenti e le nostre abitudini a geometrie improbabili, a false prospettive e non curiamo il nostro futuro, siamo già dentro la prossima prospettiva che ha un punto di fuga molto preoccupante.
Vi lascio con tutte le fasi della realizzazione del dipinto.

Per realizzarlo ho usato colori ad olio e terre naturali mescolate con olio di lino.
