Purple Flowers/ Flores moradas "ORQUÍDEAS NATURALES". Photoshoot

No one sowed them.
No one cultivated them.

They were not watered, loved or suggested to grow by the hand of man, like life itself made its way through nature.

The "orchid" is a plant that establishes symbiosis with fungi or polonizer-type agents with which it forms mycorrhizae. It can grow natively or in crops. Its beautiful flower is characterized by being monocotyledonous, with a faint purple color but at the same time very vivid. It has a peculiar shape, which is one of the highlights of its exotic beauty.

There are thousands of species of orchids, however the "Cattleya Mossiae" is the national flower of my country, Venezuela since 1951.

I grew up seeing this flower all my life, since it was in the place where my mother was born, and I always went to my family's small wooded land to see them proclaim dazzling queens of the ecosystem. I saw them at the top of the treetops, as well as even in their roots for years, but always accompanying a tree, as if it were their bodyguard.

As a child, I always believed it to be a parasitic plant, however, as I grew up and asked about it, I could see that its relationship with its host was a quit pro quo.

Quit pro quo, from Latin "something for something" or what is understood as something in exchange for something, in which both parties benefit).

I was always fascinated by the unmistakable beauty it represented, and all the more so by the fact that they grew there naturally. Today I come to share with you something very valuable and personal: a photo shoot that I took of that wooded land that belongs to my family, where the beautiful orchids have life and delight those who see them.
