One Piece Chapter 980 - Shi💩t is Getting Real!(Spoilers Alert.)
One piece is the best manga/anime out there, fight me!
Maybe one of these days I'll make a post about why you should give it a try whether or not you're into mangas/animes despite it already being almost 1000 chapters/episodes deep. Long story short though, the reasons are too many.
However, if what scares you is how much content is already out, just know when I started it was already almost at 700 episodes and yet I got hooked so bad so fast I was caught up within 2 months.
P.S: It was after months of it being recommended to me, me dismissing it and at first not liking it until the Arlong arc was halfway done. After that one moment(those who know know) nothing was ever the same again.
Anyways, shilling aside this week's chapter was off the hook!
It's just classic Oda though. He'll spend 1-3 years building up a storyline, introducing compeling characters and keeping the story relatively tame until shit hits the fan and all hell breaks loose. And now ladies and gentlemen, as of the end of last chapter our heroes are literally entrenched in the 5th Circle of Dante's inferno.
Yup, this saga's Endgame which had been set in motion since before I even became a fan is nigh. Plot points are being unraveled, Oda's foreshadows are still unrivaled, and the epicness of the battles happening and being teased at got me reveling in the anticipation.

So, the chapter starts with Luffy, Zoro and eventually Kidd causing a commotion within enemy lines, hence "messing up" the Alliance's plan. I put messing up in quotation since the rest of the Alliance knew ain't no way in hell Luffy and Zoro would be able to keep their heads low, and had therefore made them the diversion crew without the dynamic duo even knowing about it. Such astute captain and vice captain they are.😂
This page cracked me up.
And then intensity intensifies, most of the antagonist's members don't even bother hiding the murderous intents towards each other while Apoo lands a beating or 3 on Luffy and Zoro. And then Kidd makes his move aiming to help his comrades in distress(pun intended) annihilate Apoo who'd betrayed him a few weeks prior.

I can foresee some great reads in the months to come. Not only that but as someone who hasn't watched the anime in 2 years and will only watch again once they defeat Kaido and Bg Mom, I'm in for some epic binging specially since I've heard that the animators have stepped their games up for the Wano arc.

Indeed those are two of the main messages of the show.
I think the All Blue will be found or refound when the straw hats and allies(probably also the mass population once they revolt) find a way to destroy the massive land that divides the 4 seas, the same land on which live the Celestial Dragons who see themselves as gods but are just dictators enslaving and terrorizing the majority of the population.
Though knowing how Oda works his magic it won't turn out that black and white when it's all said and done.
As for the One Piece treasure, Oda has already said that it's an actual tangible treasure, just that so far no one knows what it is except the Roger pirates many of who are dead or m.i.a....Just one of the story's many mysteries that keep us tuned in.
Btw, your friend seems in tune with all the happenings in the OP verse, maybe you should suggest him to be the first OP theorist on hive or 3speak.😉
