No one has ever had live butterflies in their stomachs, yet it is such a real and palpable metaphor that it makes me agree that we actually harbor our feelings in the stomach rather than the heart.

As long as we are alive, let the butterflies flutter there from time to time, let them out and reach other stomachs, let them do their magic.
