Trip to Oceanário de Lisboa - Part 2 | Portugal
Continuing...
Here, different exhibitions are made according to each time of the year in order to show the diversity of living beings that inhabit the oceans and demonstrating the role of each one in the balance and evolution of life on the planet.
Above all, visiting the Oceanarium is an educational experience that aims to make our planet better known by exposing an entire underwater world that would otherwise go unnoticed and at the same time awaken social responsibility for preservation and sustainability.
The Oceanário has a Mascot that since 1998 continues to be an attraction that mainly amuses children, i refer to the Vasco doll, whose name was thought of as a reference to the Portuguese navigator Vasco da Gama, which marked the history of Portugal.
Now i will focus on a more informative aspect for those who may be willing or curious to visit this place, although with new technologies all information is available within a few clicks.
How to get to Lisbon Oceanarium?
Since i do not know where you come from, it is best to have as reference that it is in Parque das Nações and inform that it is located in Doca dos Olivais. The Oriente station is the arrival point for all public transport in that region, where buses, trains and the metro (red line) arrive. The bus lines that arrive to the Oriente Station are: 5, 25, 28, 44, 708, 750, 759, 782, 794.
Another information i can give you is about the times and prices.
The space can be visited between 10 am and 7 pm, the last entry being at 6 pm. The tip is to buy the ticket over the internet. Prices for permanent exhibition are: 15 € for people between 13 and 64 years old; 10 € for children between 4 and 12 years old; 10 € for people over 65 and free for children up to 3 years. To visit the permanent and temporary exhibition, the prices are: 18 € for people between 13 and 64 years old; € 12 for children between 4 and 12 years old; € 12 for people over 65 and free for children up to 3 years old.
And to finish, i take care of the restrictions when visiting the Oceanarium:
It is not allowed to take photographs with flash or any other type of artificial light.
Smoking is not permitted.
It is not allowed to eat or take any food.
It is not allowed to touch and move animals and plants.
There are cabinets on the ground floor of Edifício do Mar where objects can be stored.
If necessary, it is possible to request a wheelchair.
more information can be obtained on the official website or at the ticket office.
