Oh wow... So I though the sculptures were made from paper or from clothing fabric, until I opened the post. These were made from flowers and plants?... Really beutiful creations.

So we also have descendants from Java/Indonesia here in Suriname and creating these arts for traditional/religious occasions also is a thing here, but haven't seen anything like these.
I'm wondering if we still have people here who could make these ornaments, because it kind of seemed to bleed out 10 0r 20 years ago. That's why the Indonesian embassy grants scholarships for people with Indonesian roots to learn these skills if they're interested.
