Hola! Hace un tiempo publique la primera ilustración de un personaje que cree hace un buen tiempo se trata de una gatita cuyo nombre es Azucena fue realizada hace unos tres años, pero nunca la publique en ninguna de mis redes, hoy les quiero mostrar el proceso de esta ilustración.

Hello! Some time ago I published the first illustration of a character that I created some time ago, it is a kitten whose name is Azucena, it was made about three years ago, but I never published it in any of my networks, today I want to show you the process of this illustration.

La historia de este personaje comenzó siendo como una joven maestra, tímida de pocos amigos que como lo muestra la ilustración le gusta disfrutar de tazas de chocolate en su terraza y cuidar sus plantas, también prefiere las tardes frías y quedarse en casa y ver series.

The story of this character began as a young teacher, shy with few friends who, as the illustration shows, likes to enjoy cups of chocolate on her terrace and take care of her plants, she also prefers cold evenings and to stay at home and watch series.

Lo primero que hice fue realizar un boceto en mi cuaderno con esta idea que tenía, hecho esto tome una foto que se apreciara bien y lo abrí en un archivo de Illustrator y calque el dibujo con la herramienta pincel el cual exporte como un archivo PNG.

The first thing I did was to make a sketch in my notebook with this idea I had, then I took a picture that looked good and opened it in an Illustrator file and traced the drawing with the brush tool which I exported as a PNG file.

Seguidamente abrí el archivo en Photoshop y comencé a perfilar las líneas para posteriormente seleccionar las diferentes áreas para colorear, para ello cree diferentes capas para agregar individualmente los colores.

Then I opened the file in Photoshop and started to outline the lines to later select the different areas to color, for this I created different layers to add the colors individually.

Lo siguiente es una de mis partes favoritas que adicionar las luces y sombras, para ello creo una nueva capa y aplico mascara de recorte que me permite colorear solo sobre la parte pintada en la capa inferior, para seleccionar los tonos de sombra agregue algunos tonos violetas y para las luces tonos amarrillos.

Por ultimo hice un cielo con tonos azules y violetas y pinté algunas estrellas para hacer un lindo cielo estrellado.

Next is one of my favorite parts to add the lights and shadows, for this I create a new layer and apply clipping mask that allows me to color only on the painted part on the lower layer, to select the shadow tones I added some violet tones and for the lights some yellow tones.


Finally I made a sky with blue and violet tones and painted some stars to make a nice starry sky.
