This is a split personality brain ball.

Half of this brain is overtaken by dark thoughts and tendencies while the other is consumed with positive nice thoughts.

As the brain ages more trauma is inflicted upon it leading to an influx of dark thought programming and pathways.

An immature brain has few troubles to deal with so it is mostly happy go lucky with only tints of dark thoughts.

When a brain is first born it only has potential pathways that it can follow. Over time life situations shape the way it grows.
