Children Illustratios: The Fairy and The Owl. Watercolor Process
In my previous publication I made a pencil illustration using the following photograph by @natalia_lefay as reference
I find the pictures of this girl quite inspiring and full of magic
My Previous Post
As I told you, I wanted to make a more children's version, since children's illustration is what strikes me most in the field of illustration.
For that reason I made this illustration of a fairy with her owl, in which you can see between them two a true connection.
My Process
First as always, I started with a sketch of the idea I had in mind and transferred it to a pen with cleaner lines.
I put the colors that I would use in their place, with a layer of watercolors, but with a lot of water, so that the color is not so strong, this also helps me to get the lights out more easily
Having the base coat I only add details with more attenuated colors here and there, respecting the light spots and creating shadows
With white acrylic paint I made stars in the sky and I really liked that detail
I hope you liked this illustration and you enjoyed reading my post, have a beautiful weekend.
