Pencil portrait drawing with mechanical pencils || Step by step process of how i approach a portrait drawing

Hello hivers, today i am going to share a new pencil portrait drawing and unlike other posts, in this one i will describe how i generally approach a portrait drawing.

So, lets start:

If you look closely at the picture below, you can see that there is a circle, part of which i erased and then took a photo but its still visible. In any angle, you can start with a circle. For front view i divide the circle horizontally and vertically. Cut of some part from both sides and this depends on how wide or narrow the face would be.

If i am to try and make the portrait with accurate proportion then i keep taking measurements from the photograph with my pencil.

For an ideal face, i divide the vertical line in three equal parts, the very first top line is the hair line, and then the brow line, then the nose line, and the last one is chin.
By changing the proportion of these three parts the face features also change....

I am sure all the portrait artists here have read the andrew lumis' drawing books. They are very detailed and i still have so much to learn.

I hope all of this thing i said was useful at least a tiny bit.
