Easter Bunny!
All topics that give me any ideas so that I can make more creatures to my creature site are welcome because usually just boredom isn't enough. Zero inspiration there. This time Easter gave me plenty of new ideas, seems almost like the creatures have started to multiply on their own.

Anyway, I'm just here to inform you that I made a pretty cool Easter bunny.
And it also has eggs. As long as it's Easter. After Easter it'll be just a regular cool bunny. Not perhaps as sexy and foxy (rabbit, not a fox) as Jessica Rabbit but most definitely as cool.
But oh look! Who does this remind you of? Rachel Rabbit perhaps? Or if not her then it must be one of her offspring. That's where the coolness is inherited.
FYI
Drawn by a human (at least I think I am) and different parts randomly combined by a code.

And this must be a jackalope in the flesh. A cool jackalope I might add.
I did have the intention to draw a basket for the bunny, an egg basket, but I think the eggs work better on their own. This bunny is already much more detailed than the first 15 creatures that I started with so the basket perhaps would have been too much.
Anyway I think it's interesting to see the development, or perhaps the evolution of the creatures. I did originally have the intention to do all the creatures the same way, find already existing forms and figures (numbers, letters, special characters) which by copying, cutting, flipping, morphing and remixing would form the creature. And only very little drawing involved. Not necessarily a creature that already exists but something new.
I kinda had that same spirit with the creatures 16 and 17 although those started to look like logos or cartoon characters of animals that do exist. Creatures 19 to 21 were little less cut from existing forms and little more drawn by hand and now all these latest Easter creatures, well, there's not much numbers or letters left there. Especially this last one. The Easter bunny. When you have an image in your head it's just much easier to draw it than to combine and cut it from existing figures and try to make it look like something specific.
Anyway it has been quite refreshing to create these Easter inspired creatures, the chick, the witch, the eggs and now the bunny but now I think I'm going to leave the creatures alone for a while. I'll return to them some day again and perhaps I'll return to the old way of creating them. Big eyes and parts of numbers and letters.
Until then, toodaloo and hoppity hop!
