June Daily Drawing Challenge; Day 1; Old Woman (Fading Away)

Hello Everyone. Happy New Month To You All.
I and my friend and fellow artist on the hive, @maxwellmarcusart decide to have a daily challenge for whole month of June. We'll be making drawings on selected subjects and sharing with everyone. The sole purpose for this challenge was to connect with other artists on the chain, support other artists through visibility, improve ourselves and also celebrate art.

Today's challenge with is the first day of the month is "An Old Woman" and here is my creation.
My drawing depicts an old woman with a big smile on her face. She's wearing a veil which shows some parts of her hair, her face shows the wrinkles that tell stories and her eyes sunken from the things she had seen. I named the drawing "Fading Away" because this is our reality and getting old is inevitable.

I made this drawing with a black ball point pen and pelican paper
Here are the steps involved;
Firstly, I drew the outlibe of her face and added all her wrinkles and facial features

Next, I shaded and added details to her face for realism. I also shaded her veil and drew her hair for a more appealing look.


I kept adding details to the drawing until I got a satisfactory result.

My friend, @maxwellmarcusart will be sharing a list of all the subjects for each day of the month.

We will be glad if other artists could join in the daily challenge and will also be so happy to have curators on the chain support promising and outstanding works.

How to participate;
Make a drawing of the subject of the day, sign your name on it and post it with the tag #dailydrawingchallenge
Simple as that.. except the drawing part though.
