I am not a skilled painter but I try and try to get better every day

When I hold a pencil in my hand, I like to write down what I have in mind. But I do not know why I can not put on paper as I imagined.
I start by drawing the eyebrows to the eyes and then I paint the nose and lips ... the hair at the end of the head.
Maybe I'm wrong and I have to start with the eyes ...!
At first, when I draw, when my painting is finished, it is sometimes completely different.
I hope to reach a level where I can easily draw. I am not a skilled painter.
