Wolf Link / ウルフリンク

After completing the last artwork, I couldn’t wait to try my new skill. When I opened up the new page of Clip Studio and was doodling ideas, my youngest daughter came to me and asked me to draw Wolf Link.
What is Wolf Link? Well, my daughter gave me a long lecture about it but I’m more confused than before. I think there is a big long story behind how and why Wolf Link was created. All I can say is that Wolf Link is a Wolf version of Link from the game The Legend of Zelda which my youngest daughter adores. She said something about he is the grandpa of the current Link? That confused me the most.
Anyways, here are my messy sketches. I’m going to draw in grayscale first then colourise it.

先日、グリザイユ（グレートーン）で描いたものに色をのせることを覚えてから、ますますお絵描きが楽しくなってきました。忘れないうちにまた何かを描きたいなと思っていたら、次女ちゃんからウルフリンクを描いてと頼まれました。
ウルフリンクって何？と聞くと、次女ちゃんは長々と話してくれたのですがよく分かりません、笑
とりあえず次女ちゃんが大好きな、ゼルダの伝説、リンクのウルフバージョンだということだけは分かったので描くことにしました。
下の写真はいつものようにめちゃめちゃな下書きです。グレートーンで描いて後で色をのせます。

I had a photos of the real wolf and the screen shot from the game which my daughter gave me as references.

ネットで見つけたオオカミの写真と、次女ちゃんが撮ったゲームのスクショを参考に描きました。

I wanted it to look semi realistic and handsome.

なるべくハンサムに、セミリアルに描きます。

The grayscale drawing was completed but I didn’t like the body so I erased it and changed the canvas size.
I added some environmental colours...brown, blue, purple and teal.

グレートーンで描き終えてから体の部分が邪魔だったので、消してキャンバスのサイズも変えました。
環境光...茶色、青、紫、ティールを加えました。

You might not see much deference in these photos but details were added in different layers. I adjusted the hue and the saturation as well.

下の写真、よく見ても分かりづらいのですが、それぞれ違うレイヤーで細かく色をのせ、色調と彩度を調整しました。

I added a very simple background and Wolf Link is completed.

最後にシンプルな背景を入れて出来上がりです。
