Process / Proceso

Sketch / Boceto

After getting a decent image of a squirrel, I started to make the sketch by hand, starting with some geometrical figures to fit the body as best as possible.

Después de conseguir una imagen decente sobre una ardilla, comencé a realizar el boceto a mano, comenzando con unas figuras geométricas para encajar el cuerpo lo mejor posible.

Painted / Pintado

The first thing I started to paint was the fur, first with a base color, then shadow plus a fur effect, I like very much to make this type of painting, once I finished the base of the fur I started with the armor, to paint metals you need like six colors, a light gray until you get to a dark gray and from the base color to get to a lighter gray and finally another touch of light, at least that's how I do it.

Lo primero que comencé a pintar fue el pelaje, primero con un color base, luego sombra mas un efecto pelaje, me gusta mucho realizar este tipo de pintado, una vez termine la base del pelaje comencé con la armadura, para pintar metales se necesitan como seis colores, un color gris claro hasta llegar a un gris oscuro y a partir del color base llegar a un gris aun mas claro y por ultimo otro toque de luz, al menos así lo hago yo.

Shadows / Sombras

The shadows on this occasion were on the left side of the drawing, especially on the armor, due to its shape in triangular layers, apart from that I had to place many shadows as much as on the landscape and on the character himself since he was against the light.

Las sombras en esta ocasión estaba del lado izquierdo del dibujo, sobre todo en la armadura, debido a su forma en capas triangulares, aparte tuve que colocar muchas sombras tanto como en el paisaje y en el propio personaje ya que estaba a contra luz.

Background / Fondo

I was thinking about which landscape to place and I finished deciding to paint a desert landscape, with quality shades to achieve that effect I was looking for, typical in a sand landscape.

Estaba pensando en que paisaje colocar y termine de decidirme por pintar un paisaje desértico, con tonalidades calidad para lograr ese efecto que buscaba, típico en un paisaje de arena.

Lights / Luces

The lights here are not as sharp as in most of my drawings, if anything at the edges of the fur but in the center of the body, it had very little brightness.

Las luces aquí no son tan marcadas como en la mayoría de mis dibujos, si acaso a los bordes del pelaje pero en lo que es el centro del cuerpo, poseía muy poco brillo.

Details / Detalles

In this part we have a lot of details, because the armor basically needs shadows and more shadows in addition to brightness, finally almost finishing the drawing blur the edges of the add some red color in the claws to represent all the fights he has had.

En esta parte tenemos muchos detalles, pues la armadura básicamente necesita sombras y mas sombras ademas de brillos, por ultimo casi terminando el dibujo difumine los bordes de el agregue algo de color rojo en las garras par representar todas las peleas que ha tenido.
